Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU on the second shift in Lexington, KY. This PRN I position focuses on post-anesthesia care, patient assessment, and direct care delivery in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities include planning patient care, leading clinical activities, and ensuring quality, safe recovery. BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred, with supervision duties and on-call weekends/holidays as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• BLS certification required; if not certified, obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs and develop patient care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and manage care delivery.
• Demonstrate leadership and support for quality care.
• Coordinate customer relations and healing environment.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Patient Care Techs, LPNs, unit secretaries, and students.

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in nursing
