Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in alignment with facility policies and procedures. You will assess and manage care plans, collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, and mentor new colleagues while ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

This role requires current RN licensure in PA, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and on-going competency in clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Recognizes the need for and initiates collaboration/communication with physicians and the care team.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety, following policies and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment to facilitate an effective transition of care.
• Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals and participate in performance improvement.
• Performs validated technical skills based on clinical specialty and unit practice.
• Utilizes technology to optimize care delivery and participates in precepting and mentoring new staff.
