Job summary

Duly Health Lombard in Lombard, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU as a PRN position. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a same-day surgery setting, under physician orders and center policies.

Expect careful monitoring, medication administration, and discharge planning for post-operative patients. Required are an accredited nursing degree, current RN license, and 3 years PACU ASC experience, with 5 years nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license is required.
• 3 years PACU ASC experience.
• 5 years nursing experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in a same day surgery setting.
• Monitors and controls use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center.
• Provides psychological support to patients and/or families.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality per policies.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by physicians.
• Discharges post-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Maintains competence through continuing education and CEU re-licensure.
