Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ASC at Presbyterian Same Day Surgery Ballantyne (Winslow) in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on primary nursing in the ASC, with cross-training across areas and coordination of pre-admission assessments by phone.

The position requires an RN license, 2-year/associate degree, and ASC/PACU/OR experience is preferred; ACLS/PALS are a plus. Schedule is full-time, days, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call.

Qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred
• One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required
• ACLS and PALS, preferred
• Must have a thorough understanding of NC nurse practice act and ability to set priorities and organize workload

Responsibilities

• Work in a primary nursing area for the ASC and cross-train to other areas.
• Coordinate the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.
• Assist with turnover and day-to-day ASC operations.
