Job summary

Physicians Surgical Hospitals, L.L.C. in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day-shift, full-time Recovery (PACU) Manager of Nursing (RN) to lead the PACU team and uphold our nursing standards.

The role requires an RN with Texas license, a BSN (or actively pursuing one), BLS within 14 days, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable, with prior acute care leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN or enrolled/pursuing BSN within 24 months.
• Current License as RN in State of Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS, PALS or NRP corresponding to area of service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with overall leadership of the department in accordance with established nursing standards and philosophy.
• Serve as a vital link between management and clinical staff to ensure efficient, safe and cost effective patient care.
• Lead efforts to improve patient outcomes in the Recovery (PACU) area.
