Job summary

The PACU Nurse provides nursing care to post-surgical patients in a setting that adheres to accepted standards of care, ensuring the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while complying with federal and state requirements.

The RN cares for all ages from 2 years to geriatric in the PACU, responding to patients and performing foundational screening exams as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

Qualifications

• 2 years clinical RN experience in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU preferred.
• Current CPR and BCLS; ACLS.
• PALS recommended.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for post-surgical patients per standards of care.
• Respond to patients and perform Medical Screening Exams as delegated.
• Care for all ages from 2 years to geriatric in PACU.
