Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for PACU or Critical Care, working 24 hours per week on-site at Lourdes Health System. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care and coordinate with the care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Requirements include 0-1 years of experience (2-4 preferred), an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and an active NJ RN License. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits as part of the Virtua team.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years' experience required, 2-4 preferred
• Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• NJ RN License; Refer to the Educational/Regulatory Requirement (Department Specific) policy in the Nursing Administrative Manual
• PACU or Critical Care experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in the performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
