Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Coral Springs Ambulatory Surgery Center in Florida is seeking a PRN RN to join the Endoscopy and PACU team. You will collaborate with physicians and anesthesia to deliver safe, high-quality care for ambulatory procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs, while supporting patient advocacy and the overall care experience.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or BSN, Florida RN licensure, and either 1 year perioperative/critical care experience or 3 years as a Surgical Technician.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• One year perioperative or critical care RN experience or three years as Surgical Technician.
• BLS certification; ACLS within six months.
• PALS for pediatric care if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the clinical practice of nursing in the ASC including assessing patient care needs and planning the delivery of care utilizing the nursing process.
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Report variances from standard practice to the Nurse Manager.
• Develop educational material and provide health education to patients and families.
• Process patients through the ASC.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and caregivers.
