Surgery Partners is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team in a fast-paced environment. Under supervision, you will assist with daily patient care, monitor vital signs, and support nursing staff to ensure compassionate, efficient service.

Requirements include completion of a CA Certified Nurse Assistant program, CA CNA certification, and current American Heart Association BLS. Prior experience is preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

JOB TITLE: CNA

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional care; bathes, dresses and feeds patients; take and record vital signs; collect specimens and performs related patient care tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Accurately obtains vital signs and weights in a timely manner and reports to the nurse.
• Administers simple treatments and/or tests according to policy.
• Provides post procedure care to patients in an efficient and empathetic manner.
• Initiates patient care consistent with the nursing plan.
• Provides/assists patients with activities of daily care.
• Understands and applies principles of aseptic technique at all times in caring for patients.
• Notifies the nurse of any changes in the patients’ condition in a timely manner.
• Helps to keep all clinical areas neat and clean.
• Maintains a professional image at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of a Certified Nurse Aid program
• At least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients preferred.
• Current CA certification as a Nursing Assistant
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS certificate

• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal busy office environment with much telephone work. Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
