Job summary

Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center, seeks a full-time CNA for the PACU day shift. You will provide essential patient care under the supervision of an RN, report observations, and support recovery and safety in a fast-paced perioperative unit.

Responsibilities include vital signs, data collection, infection control, and effective communication with the care team. Prior CNA experience and active BCLS/CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant program or enrolled in ASN/BSN program with GPA 3.0+.
• BCLS and CPR certifications required or in progress.
• PA State CNA certification or enrollment in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Receive shift report from RN and provide updates to the oncoming team.
• Assist with patient care, monitoring and reporting observations to RN.
• Support RN in care planning and implementing patient care plans.
• Perform activities of daily living and basic care under supervision.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team during rounds and handoffs.
