Job summary

Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this leadership role, you will provide expert clinical care to post‑operative patients while coordinating unit operations during your shift.

You will serve as a resource for staff, promote high‑quality patient care, and support a collaborative environment focused on outcomes.

Qualifications

Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
Perform advanced clinical assessments and monitor recovery.
Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to support throughput.
Educate patients and families on post‑operative recovery and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing leadership to ensure continuity of care.
