• Ability to work with Veterans and family members from diverse backgrounds using counseling skills.
• Ability to assess psychosocial functioning and formulate a treatment plan.
• Ability to implement treatment modalities with individuals, families, and groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and staff.
• Knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses and treatment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial services under supervision at the GS-9 level.
• Identify behaviors or symptoms of abuse, neglect or exploitation.
• Provide social work case management and referrals.
• Advocate with VA and community providers to serve Veterans and families.
