Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Primary Care Supervisory Physician Assistant to oversee clinical and administrative duties within a PACT outpatient clinic. The role requires collaboration with the Supervisory Chief of Staff and adherence to VA policies.

Work is in a full-time, non-telework setting with standard business hours; EDRP may be available and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis under the Open Continuous Announcement framework.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Navigate between various software and mainframe systems on a PC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an integrated delivery system through expansion of clinical practices.
• Maintain operational efficiencies through emphasis on safe practices and national safety.
• Actively implements Lean principles - supports quality improvement projects and promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement.
• Identifies symptoms and classifies them by acuity based upon collected data.
• Demonstrates basic triage knowledge in making appropriate clinical assessments.
• Educates and instructs clients on how symptoms can be treated.
• Other duties as assigned.
