American Packout of Houston, LLC is seeking a Packout Project Manager / Field Foreman to lead and perform residential and commercial packout projects in the field. You will directly manage crews, handle packing, moving, and loading, and coordinate with customers, adjusters, and logistics to ensure efficient, safe, and documented packouts.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects daily in a dynamic disaster-restoration

Qualifications

• 2+ years of packout, contents restoration, or related field leadership experience.
• Ability to lead field crews in hands-on production environments.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead packout projects from loss to packback and supervise crew.
• Actively perform packouts, packing, moving, loading, and unloading with the crew.
• Meet with customers and adjusters to explain the packout process and set expectations.
• Document and photograph contents for insurance claims.
• Coordinate transportation, storage, and delivery logistics.
• Maintain accurate job files and track costs.
• Enforce safety protocols and proper lifting techniques.

American Packout of Houston, LLC is a contents restoration and packout services company specializing in residential and commercial losses caused by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. We work closely with mitigation and reconstruction teams, insurance carriers, and property managers to provide professional, efficient, and well-documented contents restoration services.

Position Summary

The Packout Project Manager / Field Foreman is responsible for managing and executing all residential and commercial packout services from start to finish. This role is hands-on and labor-intensive, requiring active participation in packing, moving, lifting, loading, and unloading customer contents while leading a team of packout technicians in the field. This is not a supervisory-only role. The Packout Project Manager / Field Foreman is expected to work in the field daily and lead by example while managing job execution, documentation, and crew performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Field Leadership
• Manage and execute packout projects from initial loss through packback
• Actively perform packouts, packing, moving, loading, and unloading alongside the crew
• Lead and direct packout technicians on site to ensure productivity and quality
• Meet with customers and adjusters to explain the packout process and set expectations
• Secure job approvals and maintain professional on-site presence
• Contents Handling & Operations
• Oversee inventorying, packing, labeling, and protection of customer contents
• Coordinate transportation, off-site storage, and delivery logistics
• Manage storage facilities and organize contents for efficient pack-back
• Plan and execute pack-backs upon completion of mitigation or reconstruction
• Documentation & Insurance Support
• Ensure proper documentation and photo standards for insurance claims
• Maintain accurate, organized, and complete job files
• Track labor, storage, and job costs accurately
• Prepare and support invoicing to insurance carriers and clients
• Materials, Safety & Standards
• Order, stage, and manage materials and supplies for each job
• Ensure all packout work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards
• Enforce safety protocols and proper lifting and handling techniques
• Coordination & Communication
• Communicate regularly with mitigation and reconstruction teams
• Provide clear direction to field crews and resolve job-site issues promptly
• Maintain strong customer service and professionalism on every job

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in packout, contents restoration, or related field leadership role
• Proven ability to lead field crews in hands-on production environments
• Strong working knowledge of packout and contents restoration processes
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in residential and commercial environments
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and loading activities
• Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions
