Job summary

Backyard Products in Monroe, MI is seeking Packline Team Members to join the Pack Line. This physically demanding role loads materials, ensures proper quantities and placement for safe shipping and storage of finished goods.

Expect standing most of the day and a fast-paced environment assembling wooden structures. Compensation is up to $18.00 per hour, with shifts from 6am to 2:30pm, M-Thu, plus seasonal OT and occasional Fridays/Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure and follow specific work instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math functions.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Must wear steel/composite toe boots (not provided by company).
• Reliability and attendance are crucial for production.

Responsibilities

• Physical and strenuous labor with standing, bending, squatting, twisting, lifting, and reaching.
• Review pack drawings and instructions for multiple stations.
• Assist lift truck operators with line setup and tear down.
• Complete pre-shift and startup equipment and material inspections.
• Package materials in boxes that move down the conveyor.
• Ensure precise location and placement of materials being packaged.
• Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
• Keep work area clean and maintained.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
