Job summary

H2ajobs in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a Packers and Packagers helper to perform duties described under SOC 53-7064. You will operate grain conditioning equipment, inspect containers and crops, sort by color, grade, and quality, load with tools, weigh produce, and record information for processing.

Two months of recent, verifiable experience are required. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and speak/understand English. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with transportation as noted.

• Monitor and report grain grades.
• Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Hand such as: Operate grain conditioning equipment; Examine and inspect containers, materials, or crops to ensure that quality and specifications are met; Sort according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Load using suction gates, shovels, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place crops according to grade; Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective crop or foreign matter; Monitor and report grain grades; Use semi to market; Service and repair; Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team; Must be able to speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
