H2ajobs is seeking a hands-on worker for grain storage, conditioning, and related duties in Illinois. You will grade, sort, and condition grain, load materials for processing, and maintain documentation of weights and grades.

A valid driver license may be required; training provided for equipment operation and safety compliance. Housing and meals are employer-provided; weekly transportation to groceries may be arranged.

Qualificações

We have a large amount of grain storage and grain conditioning that we need help with as well as moving snow and Ice from buildings and facilities during periods of cold weather. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found is SOC Code 53-7064 Packer/Packager. Duties include: Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s with hopper bottom trailers; drive and deliver grain to terminals or ports using semi-trucks. Operate fans and other equipment to condition grain and control moisture levels. Remove snow and ice from buildings and facilities using shovels, brooms, hammers, and other equipment. While a CDL is not required for this job, some workers may possess a CDL. Must be able to speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
