Job summary

Coleman Worldwide Moving in Alaska is seeking a dedicated Mover to support packing, loading, and safe handling of household goods. You will pack items using company supplies, list inventory, wrap items, and prepare bills of lading while providing courteous customer service.

Travel local, intrastate, and interstate as needed; you will assist drivers, perform warehouse duties, and participate in safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with packing procedures preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pack household belongings using company supplies.
• Inventory and label items with tags and sheets.
• Wrap and protect goods during packing and transit.
• Compute charges and complete bills of lading.
• Assist loading trucks and containers for interstate moves.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment and warehouse tasks.

Job Summary:The Mover will provide customer service by assisting in the packing and loading of household goods in a safe, timely and efficient mannerEssential Functions:Pack household belongings for customers using supplies supplied by the companyList household belongings on inventory sheets as they are packed and wrap household goods between residence and vehicleCompute charges and capture information on bills of ladingMark boxes with appropriate inventory tags to ensure proper documentationAnswer any questions the customer may have regarding packing of their belongingsPre-trip inspections alongside drivers of all aspects of equipment including truck interior, straps and tensioners, walk-boards, etc.Assist as needed in loading trucks and/or containers for forward movement via interstate commerceLift and carry household goods between residence and vehiclePerform work at warehouse as neededOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of proper packing proceduresGood communications skillsMust be willing to travel (local, intrastate and interstate)Required Education and Experience:Required: High school diploma or GEDPreferred: Previous packing experiencePreferred: Ability to operate a forkliftRequired: On-site safety training courseWorking Conditions:Indoors and outdoorsLifting of objects up to 50 poundsFrequent squatting and bendingFrequent use of stairsColeman Worldwide Moving (and affiliated companies) (collectively “CWM”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
