Job summary

Europastry USA is seeking a motivated Packer to join our growing bakery team. The Packer will manually package frozen products, placing finished cases on conveyors and working on multiple lines as needed. Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM on the 3rd shift.

• Inspects product for open seams or inconsistencies.
• Records packaging time, weight and date; palletizes finished product.
• Records the number of cases stacked per pallet in the system.
• Transports boxes through packaging via conveyors; rotates with the team.
• Ensures product conforms to quality standards and reports issues.

We are searching for a motivated & experienced Packer

The Packer is responsible for packaging frozen products manually by placing finished cases on conveyors or rollers through various stages of processing performing the following duties.
Shift: 3rd Shift - 11 PM to 7 AM

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Obtains, sorts and counts product according to job specifications.
• Works on different lines as tasks vary according to job requirements or specifications.
• Weighs product and reports any inconsistencies to lead packer or Packing supervisor.
• Properly labels boxes according to product specifications.
• Packs special arrangements or selections of products.
• Inspects product for open seams or inconsistency in product.
• Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
• Palletize finished product.
• Records the number of cases stacked per pallet into the computer.
• Fabricates and assembles boxes by inserting through a sealing machine.
• Alerts direct supervision of any complications that may arise.
• Insert plastic liners in boxes and place them on conveyors or rollers.
• Transports boxes through different stages of packaging by means of conveyor lines or rollers.
• Rotates with other workers within the department.
• Inspects product to ensure conformance to quality standards and reports any problems to supervision.
• Must work as a team to help co-workers when needed.
• Contributes to a continuous improvement in culture.
• Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.).
• Inform supervision of any problems or complications that may arise
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

High school education, GED; or up to one-year related experience
