Job summary

RRD is seeking a warehouse associate in West Bend, WI to support various material handling tasks including stocking, stacking, labeling, and packaging for shipments. The role involves operating forklifts or related equipment and ensuring accurate tracking through flags and slips.

Responsibilities include securing loads, using shrink-wrap and strapping tools, and following standard procedures for stock description and labeling.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or material handling environment.
• Ability to operate hand tools and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Lay up, feed or pile down materials at equipment.
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure smooth operation.
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips for accurate tracking.
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and record information on cases or bundles
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles using banding machinery and clincher.
• May operate forklifts or other equipment to load/move materials as needed.
• Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items per operating instructions.
• Complete forms for stock description, quantity, and labeling requirements for incoming/outgoing materials
• Use shrink-wrap, strapping equipment, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
• Familiarity with warehouse layout and stock location codes.
• Experience with forklift operation may be required.

Compensation

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Available Shifts

• Day Shift: 5:00AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Thursday
• Mid Shift: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday -Thursday
• Mid Shift Differential: $1/hr

Job Duties

• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.
• May use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
• Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment
• Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
• May require experience in operating/using forklift truck.
