• Conduct line clearance, material verification, in-process checks, product reconciliation.
• Follow SOPs, safety, gowning, data integrity, and quality requirements.
• Escalate quality concerns, defects, deviations, equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain qualifications, training, and participate in continuous improvement.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and support routine operations.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality to meet goals.
• Work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends or holidays.

The Packaging & Visual Inspection Operator II for 2nd shift performs packaging, labeling, and visual inspection for sterile pharmaceutical products. The role supports the production of high-quality products by ensuring defects are identified, products are packaged accurately, and all activities are documented in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. This role operates within a highly regulated manufacturing environment and is responsible for maintaining product quality, data integrity, and compliance throughout the packaging and inspection process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, clean, and change over packaging, labeling, and visual inspection equipment.
• Perform packaging and visual inspection activities following approved procedures and specifications.
• Identify, segregate, and document defective or nonconforming products.
• Complete batch, inspection, equipment, and reconciliation records accurately and in compliance with cGMP requirements.
• Conduct line clearance, material verification, in-process checks, and product reconciliation.
• Follow SOPs, safety, gowning, data integrity, and quality requirements.
• Escalate quality concerns, defects, deviations, and equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain required qualifications, training, and participation in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support routine operational activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, and Quality teams to meet goals.
• Perform additional duties consistent with training and business needs.
• Work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by business operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment, packaging, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures, specifications, and technical instructions.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and complete accurate documentation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to complete and maintain all required packaging, gowning, equipment, and visual inspection training and qualification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform prolonged packaging and visual inspection of repetitive tasks requiring sustained attention.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and regularly use hands and fingers to handle small containers or components.
• Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom or manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, gowning, and hair and beard coverings, as applicable.
• Ability to distinguish relevant product characteristics and defect types and satisfy job-related visual acuity and color-discrimination requirements, with or without corrective lenses.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials within established site limits, with mechanical assistance where provided.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by business operations.

Our Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $43,232 to $55,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. If hired to work 2nd in this role, the pay differential will be 10%. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
