Job summary

Corning is seeking a Warehouse Lead to assist the Shipping and DC Supervisor in managing warehouse functions and ensuring smooth operations. You will pull and deliver materials to internal and external customers, domestic and international, while meeting SLAs.

The role requires over 3 years in manufacturing with leadership or training, forklift experience, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office. This position offers a strong benefits package and a hands-on leadership path.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with leadership/training experience.
• Forklift experience.
• 1-3 years experience with PCs and Quality Management Software (SAP & MS Office).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Determine method of shipment and prepare materials for shipping (bills of lading, weighing, packaging).
• Ensure transactions are recorded in SAP, FedEx, UPS, and similar systems.
• Order and maintain department inventory of tools and supplies.
• Support reporting to Engineering, Technology and Production testing; represent area in meetings.
• Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment as required.
• Conduct cycle counts and other audits as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees and resolve issues in shipping/receiving/stock operations.
• Lead continuous improvement activities (5S, quality, lean) and maintain TL9000 standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of production, shipping and warehouse areas.
