Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks an Entry Level Packaging Technician I to support bottling, labeling and packaging tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This contract role is 12 months, 40 hours per week, with day shifts (1st Shift) from 9 am to 5 pm, requiring US work authorization (citizens or GC holders or OPT/EAD/CPT). Responsibilities include following documented procedures, reading and completing batch records, operating packaging equipment, and maintaining safety

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.

• 0-2 year(s) relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic packaging process flow and labeling tasks.
• Follow packaging instructions and batch records.

• Support materials handling, labeling, and inventory tasks.
• Meet daily packaging objectives with quality and safety in mind.

• Assist supervisor with routine tasks and new tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

• The Packaging Technician I is responsible for performing routine bottling, labeling, and packaging processes according to established procedures and work instructions.
• /she must be able to read, understand, and complete all packaging documentation including batch records, standard operating procedures and/or work instructions, and material processing requests.
• He/she must possess basic computer and analytical skills.
• The Packaging Technician I must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team oriented, work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Learn and understand:
• Basic packaging process flow
• Basic inventory and supplies management process flow
• Basic bottling techniques for all single vial purified and conjugate materials
• Basic packaging processes including bagging and labeling
• Use of pipette, scale, and other packaging equipment as required
• Support label creation process by learning and operating all labeling equipment
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly departmental production objectives efficiently and effectively with a high degree of quality
• Ability to follow general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks
• Support the departmental packaging supplies and material management functions including storing, retrieving, and staging supplies/materials as required
• Support technical manual and technical data sheet preparation and operate associated equipment to produce printed literature
• LDMS and daily shift start up meetings
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds in a safe manner; requesting assistance when appropriate
• Understand and input packaging data, as required, in the SAP system and/or other Production Planning/Manufacturing Resource database system(s)
• Follow all department guidelines and procedures
• Follow client Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures: Take responsibility for safety in the immediate work area. Participate in EH&S programs. Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
