Job summary

Placon seeks a dependable Packaging Technician for our Madison, WI facility to inspect and package parts to specification, operate finishing equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards. Training is provided if you have no experience.

We offer a rotating 12‑hour schedule with day and night shifts, competitive base pay starting at $19/hour plus a night differential. Benefits include stable full‑time hours and opportunities for growth within production, quality, and process support.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English for training, safety, and quality.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to identify color variation in materials (required for Print Department work).

Responsibilities

• Packaging Technicians will inspect and package products to meet quality standards
• Apply labels, maintain case sequence, and use case tapers
• Verify material for disposal or regrind and remove recycling tubs
• Follow dispatches, print work orders, and process skid/hold tags
• Complete Oracle transactions and perform rework as needed
• Identify and report quality issues; read drawings and packaging specs
• Maintain clean work areas, follow 5S, and use required PPE
• Participate in Good Catch safety activities and follow GMP/SQF practices
