Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Technician to perform day-to-day packaging for finished sterile IV bag products and to ensure compliance with cGMP and safety standards.

The role focuses on accurate packaging and preparation of products for storage or distribution. You will support Production Technicians with routine manufacturing activities, including equipment setup, cleaning, line clearance, changeovers, and other production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verify product and components before packaging and entry into the packaging area.
• Check product labels against batch records, work orders, and packaging records.
• Perform packaging activities for finished IV bag products per SOPs, batch records, and cGMP requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment for labeling, inspection, cartoning, and case packing.
• Inspect finished products and packaging materials for defects and labeling discrepancies.
• Complete batch records and packaging records with data integrity requirements.
• Print and inspect shipper labels and ensure label reconciliation.
• Assist technicians with dispensing, filling, cleaning, and other production support activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment following cGMP, EHS, gowning, and related procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Warehouse, and cross-functional teams; escalate issues when needed.

Job description

The Packaging Technician will perform day-to-day packaging activities for finished sterile injectable IV bag products, ensuring products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with cGMP requirements, safety standards, and company procedures. The primary focus of this role is the packaging and preparation of finished products for subsequent storage or distribution.

The Packaging Technician will also support Production Technicians with routine manufacturing activities as needed, including equipment setup, cleaning, line clearance, changeovers, and other general production tasks. This role is well suited for an individual with strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to learn and work in a highly regulated sterile manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify all product and packaging/manufacturing components prior to the start of operations and entry into the packaging room.
• Check and confirm the product and labels against the product specifications outlined in the batch record, work order, and packaging record.
• Perform packaging activities for finished IV bag products in accordance with approved SOPs, batch records, and cGMP requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment as trained, including equipment used for labeling, inspection, cartoning, case packing, and other packaging operations.

• Perform line clearance, area setup, changeovers, cleaning, and reconciliation of packaging materials and finished products.
• Accurately complete batch records, packaging records, logbooks, and other required documentation in accordance with cGMP and data integrity requirements.
• Print and inspect shipper case labels to ensure accuracy. Ensure 100% label reconciliation.
• Assist Production Technicians with routine manufacturing activities as needed, including dispensing, compounding, filling, thermal sterilization, room and equipment cleaning, setup, material handling, and other production support activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all applicable cGMP, EHS, gowning, controlled-area, and controlled substance procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams, escalating product, equipment, or process issues and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently follow written procedures, accurately perform packaging and inspection activities, and maintain product quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate issues or concerns, and support Production Technicians with routine manufacturing activities as needed.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately complete electronic or paper-based production documentation, including batch records and logbooks.
• Ability and willingness to learn and follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, safety procedures, gowning requirements, and other applicable company policies.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, sterile, or regulated manufacturing is preferred but not required.
