Terpenebeltfarms is seeking a Packaging Technician in Boston, MA to handle post-production tasks including weighing, labeling, and packaging cannabis products for medical and recreational sale. The role requires accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and ability to work in a fast-paced facility.

You will report to Production Managers and the Director of Operations, follow production schedules, maintain records, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the packaging area.

Responsabilidades

• Weigh, measure, sort, label, and package cannabis products for medical and recreational sale.
• Create and apply labeling per product information and testing results.
• Maintain forms and database to record weight, product counts, and issues.
• Assemble, line, and pad boxes and shipping containers for finished products.
• Operate automated sorting, batching, and packaging machinery.
• Inspect packaging to ensure accuracy and quality control of labeling and counts.
• Inventory cannabis products and assist with receiving and distributing within the department.
• Support production schedules and clean packaging areas regularly.
• Process waste materials in compliance with state regulations and SOPs.

The Packaging Technician is responsible for the post-production handling of all manufactured products. Duties performed include the weighing, packaging, and labeling of all products from our facilities. The position requires flexibly, the ability to pivot, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production facility. The Packaging Technician reports directly to Production Managers and the Director of Operations.

Essential Job Functions:

• Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as edibles, oil cartridges, topicals, tinctures, concentrates, jarred flower, and pre-rolls for medical and recreational sale
• Create and apply labeling in accordance with product information, testing results, and other required information
• Maintain forms and database to precisely record weight, product count, and any relevant issues for all products
• Assemble, line, and pad boxes and shipping containers for finished product storage and shipping
• Accurately measure, weigh, and place/scoop products into containers, using hand tools and equipment
• Thoroughly clean equipment, hand tools, containers, materials, supplies, and work areas, using cleaning solutions in accordance with the relevant SOPs
• Responsible for operating a variety of automated sorting, batching, and packaging machinery
• Maintaining quality control by visually inspecting cannabis products and packaging to ensure consistency in product standards; ensuring labeling and product counts are accurate
• Inventory of cannabis products upon receipt and distribution to and from the department
• Assisting in the loading, unloading, and inventory of cannabis packaging, supplies and materials
• Adhering to production schedules
• Weighing and processing waste material in accordance with state regulations (105 CRM 725.000) and company policies and procedures
• Cleaning and sanitizing packaging areas multiple times a day
• Effectively communicate any issues or constructive feedback with product packaging directly to a lead or manager
