Shyft6 is seeking a dependable Packaging Technician II in Fall River, MA to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with installing new equipment. You will help keep production lines running safely and efficiently by repairing, modifying, and maintaining packaging systems and facility utilities.

The role requires a mechanical mindset, problem-solving skills, and pride in peak equipment performance, with responsibilities including winter upkeep of outdoor areas.

Qualifications

• Experience performing scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment quickly to minimize downtime.
• Comfort with emergency repairs and equipment adjustments during operations.
• Capability to modify or fabricate equipment components to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and inspections.

• Maintain building systems including refrigeration, steam, wastewater treatment, and environmental controls.

Job description

We are looking for a dependable Packaging Technician II to help keep our facility and production equipment operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete repairs, and assist with installing new equipment. Your work will play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting daily production.

What You'll Do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and routine equipment inspections.
  
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues quickly to minimize production downtime.
  
• Make emergency repairs and equipment adjustments while production lines are operating.
  
• Modify or fabricate equipment and parts to improve efficiency and support production needs.
  
• Install new equipment and assist with production process improvements.
  
• Maintain building systems, including:
  • Refrigeration systems
    
  • Steam systems
    
  • Wastewater treatment equipment
    
  • Building environmental systems
    
• Help ensure all equipment and facility systems remain safe, reliable, and in good working condition.
  
• During winter months, maintain outdoor walkways and entrances by clearing snow and ice.
