Job summary

Wyld is hiring in Melrose Park, Illinois for a Packaging Support role. You will count, label, assemble, bag and box items into final packaging and perform basic visual inspections. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

As a non-exempt employee, you’ll earn $20.00–$24.30 per hour, receive 11 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of related production or packaging experience.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Must obtain all required state permits/licenses/certifications.
  • Background check required.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Package product inventory efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Ensure QA/QC standards during shifts.
  • Collaborate with team in high-pressure situations.
  • Communicate discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
  • Report damaged or unusable product or equipment.
  • Complete related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Summary

The Packaging Support team member is responsible for efficiently packaging product inventory while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role counts, labels, assembles, bags, and boxes a variety of items into final product packaging, performs basic visual inspections, and reports any product or equipment issues or quantity/quality discrepancies to supervisors. The Packaging Support team member also helps keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, and works collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Packaging product inventory in an efficient and effective manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area for yourself and other employees
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
  • Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced
  • Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company
  • Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory in any way to supervisors
  • Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
  • Perform other related duties and tasks when requested by supervisors
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • At least 6 months of related experience and/or training in a production or packaging environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency, preferably in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
  • Must obtain all state required: permits, licenses, certifications
  • Willing to submit to a background check
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
Benefits

As a non-exempt employee, you'll receive a competitive hourly wage of $20.00-24.30/hr. paid biweekly, 11 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
