ASR Group is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to direct sugar packaging operations on rotating shifts, leading hourly teams (up to 35) in a unionized environment to meet standard production, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes safety, GMPs, and teamwork across shifts.

The ideal candidate has experience in industrial packaging, strong communication skills, and a track record of driving continuous improvement while maintaining equipment and process efficiencies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of packaging experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team in an industrial setting or equivalent military leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
• Basic industrial electric background, computer, PLC programming, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

OVERVIEW

The Packaging Supervisor will direct sugar packagingoperations on rotating shifts. The supervisor will direct teams of specialized union employees ensuring good manufacturing practices and safe operating procedures. The supervisor will achieve standard production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through the supervision of hourly personnel (up to 35) on rotating shifts.

EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

• Four year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent military experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• Up to 35employees per shift

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
