Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Glenview, IL is seeking an R&D Manager for Packaging Margin Enhancement to lead medium-to-high complexity projects and manage a team of packaging developers, driving productivity and cost optimization across North America business units.

You will partner with BU R&D and cross-functional teams to deliver technically complex, high-impact packaging initiatives, coaching staff and managing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-to-high complexity packaging productivity projects from concept through commercialization.
• Design and oversee plant-scale packaging tests with data analysis and results communication.
• Translate R&D findings into quantifiable business opportunities and present to leadership.
• Partner with suppliers, plants, co-manufacturers, and internal experts to evaluate packaging technologies.
