Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the shift, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. You will coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet production schedules and improve KPIs.

A hands-on leader, you will coach operators, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement across the facility. The role requires 3+ years in corrugator/converting supervision, strong communication, and Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of corrugator/converting supervisory experience.
• Lean environment experience; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across functions.
• Ability to coach and train staff and manage safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Serve as first contact for operators on mechanical failures or production issues.
• Support continuous improvement and enforce control procedures.
• Coordinate production with other departments to meet goals in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Monitor activities to minimize waste and align with schedules.
• Input production data into the system to track KPIs (efficiency, downtime, inventory).
• Provide recommendations to improve safety, environmental, and health of the facility.
• Produce daily shift production reports and review daily goals.
• Coach staff and conduct performance reviews; manage discipline as needed.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff; create growth opportunities.
