Job summary

We Are Woodruff in Kansas City area seeks a production and packaging specialist who blends hands-on mechanical design with project coordination. You will work with the production lead and senior studio designer to ensure packaging files are print-ready and brand-consistent.

This role involves vendor management, preflight formatting, dieline validation, and building mechanical artwork for print and digital assets. Hybrid work options in KC or Columbia, MO are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts Technology, Print Media, Packaging Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in print production, prepress, or production design.
• Experience with CPG packaging and dielines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging production and preflight formatting per art director specs.
• Obtain 2-3 competitive quotes from printers and packaging vendors.
• Maintain vendor reference files with capabilities, pricing, and turnaround times.
• Review vendor proofs and sign off on shipments.
• Ensure color separations and technical printability across substrates.
• Build mechanical artwork for print and digital assets.
• Handoff final files for press runs with accurate proofs.
