Job summary

Sterman Masser, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer for the potato packaging facility in Sacramento, PA. The role involves reading production schedules, packing bags, and moving pallets, with safety and GMP requirements to be followed.

This is a 1st shift, full-time position reporting to the Production Supervisor. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and operate pallet jacks. The job entails heavy manual tasks and adherence to 5S principles in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Reads production schedule boards to determine products to be packed.
• Must be able to grasp, lift and stack 50 lbs of product.
• Pack 5–10 lb bags into larger shipping packages as needed.
• Operate pallet jack or electric pallet jack to move pallets.
• Adhere to GMP and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read schedules and customer orders to determine products to be packed.
• Pack bags and prepare items for shipping.
• Move pallets using pallet jack or electric pallet jack.
• Secure/wrap pallets per customer specs and package requirements.
• Maintain clean work area and follow 5S lean principles.
• Report downtime and maintenance needs to supervisors.
