Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Packaging Operator to safely package converted raw materials into high quality finished products in line with GMP and production schedules. You will operate lines (bags, pouches, palletizer), monitor quality checks, and maintain a clean, safe workspace across rotating shifts.

You should have basic math and reading/writing, mechanical aptitude, and PC knowledge. Prior manufacturing experience and a can-do attitude are valued as you contribute to efficiency and cost

Qualifications

  • Good basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good housekeeping skills and knowledge of GMP's.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self-directed workgroup leadership and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Line operation - big bag, middle bag, pouch, super sack; run to schedule, perform changeovers, troubleshoot lines.
  • Maintain smooth operation of palletizer.
  • Blending system operation and monitoring.
  • Perform required quality checks and reporting.
  • Monitor product flow to line and meet cut-off requirements.
  • Enter work orders into MIS system and support maintenance on calls.
  • Promote a clean, safe work environment and address food safety and quality concerns.
  • Improve operations through teamwork and leadership on the floor and in meetings.
