Cerro Wire LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a packaging operator to operate and maintain packaging lines for finished reels and coils. This role requires attention to quality, adherence to safety rules, and basic ability to enter production data.

The position involves set-up, changeovers, and supporting Lean and housekeeping initiatives on the production floor. Candidates should be prepared for entry-level cross-training on additional packaging lines.

Formación

• Experience operating packaging equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to be cross-trained and sign off to run additional packaging lines.

Responsabilidades

• Set-up, load, unload, and operate packaging machines to package finished product according to specifications.
• Complete necessary checklists (pre-shift, End of Shift Cleaning, Changeover) and update workstation metrics/line boards.
• Ability to run primary line at line speed safely and with good quality.
• Be cross-trained and signed off to run additional packaging lines at entry level requirements.
• Ensure measurements on reels and coils are accurate as specified.
• Use workstation computer to enter production, scrap, downtime and maintenance work orders.
• Make adjustments to machinery for even lay.
• Wrap coils and spools as necessary with plastic wrap.
• Check wire for quality cosmetics and color print.
• Print and place labels on coils and spools and assist with hand packing of finished products for shipment, ensuring correct labels, boxes and pallet patterns.
• Load reels into payoff for spooling or coiling.
• Verify piece counts.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and observe all company and safety rules.
• Participate in Lean events as well as housekeeping and safety audits as needed.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Additional duties as assigned, not determined at the time of hire.
