Job summary

Amneal is seeking a Packaging Operator I in New Jersey to operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring products are packaged per the Packaging Batch Record and SOPs, while adhering to cGMP standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and less than one year of experience in pharmaceutical packaging/manufacturing.

Shifts are 12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carries out packaging operations in strict compliance with cGMP, SOPs, environmental and safety regulations, and other applicable guidelines.
• Consistently uses appropriate PPE and follows gowning and safety protocols.
• Handles disposal of rejected products and packaging components in designated areas in accordance with procedures and safety guidelines.
• Inspects and verifies bulk product and packaging components prior to entry into the packaging room.
• Ensures the packaging line and room are clean, well-organized, and prepared for packaging operations.
• Maintains accurate logbook entries by recording relevant information before and after each batch operation.
• Performs in-process quality control checks during packaging operations and documents results in the Packaging Batch Record.
• Verifies the accuracy of scales and balances by performing weight checks and ensures equipment calibration prior to initiating packaging operations.

Overview

Description: Packaging Operator I is an entry-level role within the packaging department. The position operates packaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring in-process products are packaged in accordance with the Packaging Batch Record and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout all operations.

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.00-$22.00 per hour. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, as well as a long-term incentive award, such as restricted stock units, with this position within the first 12 months.
