Job summary

Inotiv, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Operator for its Stoughton, MA facility. The role includes filling, closing, packing and palletizing animal diet products, with focus on accuracy, traceability and clean work practices.

First shift runs Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM, with a pay progression program as noted in the posting. Responsibilities emphasize setup, documentation, in-process checks, and operating packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires English communication skills (written, reading, oral).
• Basic math ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Neat, legible handwriting for documenting records.

Responsibilities

• Package animal diet: fill, close, pack, palletize.
• Set up/prep for each packaging run using schedule and quality docs.
• Complete in-process checks and verifications per Quality System.

Job description

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6AM - 2PM

Pay Progression Program Offered

The position will perform packaging of animal diet by filling, closing, packing and palletizing packages to include but not limited to the following:

• Perform all set up and preparation work prior to packaging each diet utilizing production schedule and Quality-related documents and aides
• Accurately and thoroughly complete all necessary forms and documents needed for each packaging run
• Complete and document in-process checks and verifications in compliance with established Quality System
• Operate all packaging equipment and perform any operational adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area according to the housekeeping procedures and checklists
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Completed High School education
• English communication – written, reading and oral
• Developed and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Neat and legible handwriting

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work safely, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Job Procedures
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
• Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents
• Ability to work in a standing position for periods of time up to 8.0 hours
• Must be able to be self-motivated, work independently
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks

Additional Notes:

• Physical mobility within facility
• Ability to wear all required safety equipment
• Ability to frequently lift 50lbs fromfloor to shoulder height
• Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
• Ability and willingness to operate a Forklift (Certification offered on-site)
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed (including alternative shifts and weekends)
• Successfully pass a physical examination by company approved physician
• English communication - reading, written and verbal
