Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. is seeking a Level 1 Machine Operator to work on 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation. The role focuses on material flow, equipment monitoring, adjustments, and quality control while maintaining housekeeping and safety standards. Compliance with plant certifications is required.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of packaging processes.
• Willingness to learn and achieve core competency within 90 days.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts and stand for long periods.
• Good communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, count and write proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to system procedures and company policies.
• Arrive early to ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Set up materials, handling equipment and machinery.
• Monitor machine operations to meet quality and quantity specs.
• Identify defective goods and packaging components.
• Replenish and organize packaging supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety practices.
• Maintain daily production reports and monitor color changes.
