Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings is seeking a dependable packaging line worker to support daily production goals on the warehouse floor in Manteno, Illinois. You will dump empty bottles, load cartons, perform quality checks, and follow safety standards.

This role requires good communication, ability to work with multiple departments, flexibility for off-shift coverage, and a proactive, self-directed approach to meet daily priorities. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Effective verbal, listening, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with other departments in the company.
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Self-directed and with good attendance.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment and practices.

Responsibilities

• Dump empty bottles into hoppers, load bottles onto conveyors, remove liner, knock down cartons and stack pallet in a manner to maintain packaging productivity and quality guidelines.
• Assist in the start-up and shut down of production equipment.
• Stack full cases of product off the packaging line onto pallets in a manner to maintain packaging productivity and quality guidelines.
• Load product into cartons.
• Follow all safety standards and quality inspections per specifications.
• Document duties as scheduled in the computer based system.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Follow all written and verbal production instructions and priorities.
• Assist in finding coverage for shift to fill in for absences and vacations.
