Job summary

Jushi Holdings Inc. is seeking a Packaging Lead to manage day-to-day packaging operations for cannabis products at our Ohio facility. You will lead a team, ensure regulatory labeling and traceability, and coordinate with the Packaging Supervisor and Manager to meet production goals.

The role emphasizes compliance, efficiency, and equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior cannabis packaging experience is preferred and physical readiness is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in packaging or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day packaging schedules with the Packaging Supervisor and Packaging Manager.
• Monitor production schedules and generate product labels using Nicelabel and ZDesign.
• Perform primary label inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Obtain secondary label approvals prior to print execution.
• Ensure label printing is on time to support packaging operations.
• Set the pace of the packaging department to meet targets.
• Troubleshoot packaging and labeling equipment to minimize downtime.
• Assemble and perform primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for products.
• Operate, maintain, and clean packaging and labeling equipment.
• Maintain traceability logs and inventory records for compliance.
• Follow sanitation and safety practices, including PPE use.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Work independently and with the team to support production goals.
• Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.

The Packaging Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the manufacturing level. You will be reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Packaging Lead supports the manufacturing team in the packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment of cannabis-based products. This role ensures regulatory compliance, production efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards while guiding the packaging team to meet operational goals.

• Coordinate day-to-day packaging schedules in collaboration with the Packaging Supervisor and Packaging Manager.
• Monitor production schedules and generate product labels using Nicelabel and ZDesign software.
• Conduct primary label inspections to ensure compliance with DCC regulations and internal quality standards.
• Maintain clear communication with leadership to obtain secondary label approvals prior to print execution.
• Ensure all label printing jobs are completed accurately and on time to support scheduled packaging operations.
• Set the pace of the packaging department to meet or exceed production targets.
• Troubleshoot packaging and labeling equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Assemble and perform primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for all cannabis products.
• Operate, maintain, and clean all packaging and labeling equipment according to safety and quality standards.
• Perform data entry and record keeping for traceability, inventory control, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure traceability logs and Chain of Custody records are completed accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Follow strict sanitation and safety practices, including PPE use and participation in safety meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Work independently and collaboratively to support overall production and company goals.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve process quality, efficiency, and workflow.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent computer, mathematical, language and reasoning skills
• Previous experience in cannabis industry (preferred)
• Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Occasionally Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment.
• Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting label printing equipment.
• The job is performed indoors. Appropriate PPE will be provided.
