Job summary

TransPak in Hayward, CA seeks a detail-oriented Lab & Shop Coordinator to support the Test Lab and Prototype Shop in daily operations, testing, and prototyping activities. Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Experience in packaging test lab operations, prototype shop coordination, or engineering administration is preferred.
• Familiarity with packaging materials and testing standards (ISTA, ASTM) and basic lab/shop tools is preferred.
• Strong project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the Packaging Test Lab and Prototype Shop to ensure optimal workflow.
• Oversee equipment calibration schedules and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Plan, procure, and manage materials for lab testing, shop operations, and prototype builds.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and proactive reorder procedures.
• Serve as liaison between lab/shop operations and internal teams; communicate timelines and resource availability.
• Maintain organized documentation and reporting of activities, schedules, and resource utilization.
