Job summary

Truvant seeks a Packaging Development Manager to partner with Sales, Operations, customers, suppliers, and external partners to create innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions from concept through validation and implementation.

The role requires strong packaging development experience, technical design knowledge, and the ability to lead projects across commercial, technical, and operational teams in a dynamic, expanding organization.

• Ability to lead projects and coordinate across Sales, Operations, customers and suppliers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the US Customer & Market Success Organization, EI&S team, and customers on RFQs/RFPs by providing packaging design concepts and technical input early in the commercial process.
• Develop packaging solutions across folding carton, corrugated, flexible packaging, and retail display formats.
• Support development of sustainable packaging that meets regulatory requirements and company sustainability objectives.
• Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to deliver prototypes, mock-ups, and packaging visualizations.
• Coordinate packaging performance testing (ISTA, vibration, compression, drop) through qualified laboratories.
• Ensure proposed packaging solutions align with operations, logistics, and supply chain capabilities.
• Identify packaging improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency and customer value.
• Support implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of packaging across programs and co-packing operations.
• Serve as primary packaging SME for customers during development discussions and design reviews.
• Manage multiple packaging development projects with timely delivery.
• Maintain alignment with European Packaging Development team on standards and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
