Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a General Laborer to support multiple production departments in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will operate PIT equipment, enter data, and help ensure product quality and plant productivity across various shifts.

Responsibilities include moving materials, assisting with machine changeovers, and performing quality checks while maintaining safe, efficient workflow throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced, physically demanding role with lifting and multitasking.
• Operates PIT equipment with training provided.
• Supports multiple production departments to maintain workflow and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT equipment (Gas/LP, electric trucks, hand trucks, riders).
• Enter job information and shipping data using basic computer systems.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting, sorting, moving materials, and repetitive motions.
• Maintain efficient workflow across multiple departments in a single shift.
• Move and stage rolls and loads for production in Sheeting.
• Assist with machine changeovers (make-readies) in the Sheet/Press areas.
• Quality checks for color, scumming, scratches, and registration.
