ZIP-O-LOG MILLS, INC. is seeking a Packaging Forklift Driver to safely operate forklifts and support packaging operations in our sawmill. You will move lumber, stage finished goods, and help ensure quality and on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of sawmill operations and lumber manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts following safety policies and procedures.
• Transport finished lumber to packaging line and shipping areas.
• Stack, organize, and stage finished products in designated storage locations.
• Assist in maintaining an efficient flow of material through the packaging department.
• Inspect finished packages for size, grade, banding, paper wrap, labeling, and overall quality.
• Identify and report damaged units before shipment.
• Perform daily forklift inspections, including checking fuel, oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, tires and safety equipment, and refuel as needed.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
