Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a forklift operator to safely move and count merchandise, read order sheets, and coordinate with the packing team. This on-site role requires handling pallets, loading/unloading, and maintaining clean equipment areas in a fast-paced food and agriculture facility.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years related experience; forklift operation is essential. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Read daily order sheet to be able to select and move the correct tote of product.
• Experience operating forklift is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.

Responsibilities

• Read daily order sheet to be able to select and move the correct tote of product.
• Move finished pallets of product from the roasting room to the warehouse or loading dock.
• Move empty totes to be cleaned.
• Handle inventory receiving transactions.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
• Assist other packaging employees within their job duties including using chemicals and water to clean and sanitize packaging equipment, palletizing and break down empty totes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Read daily order sheet to be able to select and move the correct tote of product

Move finished pallets of product from theroastingroom to thewarehouse or loading dock

Moves empty totes to be cleaned

Handles inventory receiving transactions

Adheresto all company policies and safety rules

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
