Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, printing technology, packaging, engineering, operations, or related field is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years estimating, costing, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of printing and packaging production workflows (prepress, offset or flexo, die-cutting, finishing).
• Ability to interpret specifications, measurements, die lines, and production requirements with accuracy.
• Proficiency with Excel and comfort with ERP/production management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate estimates for folding cartons, inserts, labels, and specialty packaging.
• Analyze production requirements across prepress, printing, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing to optimize cost.
• Calculate material usage, tooling, setup, finishing labor, and freight costs for quotes.
• Incorporate value-added finishing features into quotes when required.
• Prepare formal quotations, cost breakdowns, and pricing recommendations.
