Job summary

Energizer Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join the Americas Packaging Technical Services team at the Asheboro, NC site. You will develop packaging solutions from concept to production, with a focus on plastic-free packaging initiatives and collaboration across functions.

You will support new product development, cost improvement, and manufacturability while driving projects with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or Packaging Science.
• 0-5 years’ experience in packaging development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and take on increasing responsibility.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Candidates must be authorized to work full time in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute packaging solutions and qualification processes.
• Partner with suppliers to develop packaging from drawings and prototypes to production tooling.
• Collaborate with PTS and Operations to maintain packaging specifications.
• Communicate and manage projects with cross-functional partners.
• Learn and stay current with packaging and manufacturing technologies.
• Lead packaging projects with timelines, risk management and deliverables.
• Drive packaging cost, efficiency and sustainability improvements.
• Support operations for new product launches and packaging implementation.
