Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced packaging specialist in the United States for leading site transfer projects and end-to-end packaging development. The role involves coordinating with R&D for component design, writing and approving documentation, and ensuring robust packaging systems reach the market.

You will manage testing, troubleshooting, and compliance with cGMP and government guidelines, while coordinating SAP tasks and BOM revisions.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years industry experience with at least 3 years of Package Development experience.
  • Experience in Consumer, OTC, or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • cGMP working experience.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead packaging site transfer projects.
  • Plan and execute packaging engineering assignments concerned with large lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Engage in the development of the material and structural aspects of packages, including Primary, Secondary & Tertiary materials to deliver a robust packaging system to the market.
  • Design, Create & approve component specifications. Work closely with R&D for primary components design and product related changes.
  • Lead the package design development and assessment, develop, write, gain cross-functional alignment, and route for approval package development documentation (e.g., Package Component Specifications, Package Development Assessment and Plan documents, Packaging Line Trial Protocols and Reports, Package Development Reports).
  • Lead packaging development projects.
  • Determine and coordinate physical testing to ensure product and package integrity for manufacturing through end users.
  • Lead troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging related issues in manufacturing and the field.
  • Execute packaging projects in compliance with government and corporate guidelines.
  • Execute package line trials and package testing.
  • cGMP documentation proficiency.
  • Creating: Copy and graphics specification, Pallet patterns and Finished Put-up specifications.
  • SAP related tasks including Data Entry, Raw Material Code requests, Bill Of Material Creation and revisions.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

A minimum of 6-8 years of industry experience is required with at least 3 years of Package Development experience. Specific experience within the Consumer, OTC, or Pharmaceutical industry is must. GMP experience is must. Experience in a highly regulated environment is preferred. Demonstrated technical knowledge related to package materials, equipment, testing and package development is required.

Eligibility

In order to comply with U.S. laws and regulations applicable to this position, the person(s) hired must possess the ability to obtain US Security Clearance which requires that the person be a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., a “Green Card Holder”), or a Political Asylee or Refugee.

Salary Range: $100,000 -$115,000 year
