Job summary

Rocket Industrial is seeking a Packaging Engineer to identify and present custom packaging solutions to sales staff and clients in a collaborative role. You will design, evaluate, test, and propose innovations while staying aware of competitive differentiation.

You will communicate with clients and sales teams, support ISTA testing standards, and leverage corrugated/folding carton design software and Kongsberg table experience to drive profitable product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging or related field.
• ISTA testing knowledge and testing standards.
• Experience with corrugated or folding carton design software preferred.
• Experience with Kongsberg cutting table preferred.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Packaging Engineer is a critical knowledge worker at Rocket Industrial, acting as both a solutions consultant to our sales staff and customers, and the curator of appropriate solutions. This individual will provide technical expertise to the sales team by identifying, designing, testing, and presenting custom solutions to our customers. Alongside communicating with our sales reps, this role will also directly communicate with clients. The Packaging Engineer will have a thorough understanding of the competition and how we can best differentiate ourselves.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
