Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced R&D Packaging Engineer III to support new product and packaging development within a cross-functional engineering environment.

This role will focus on the development and improvement of packaging systems, materials, processes, and related technologies. The engineer will independently lead technical activities, analyze test and research data, establish specifications, and support complex product-development programs from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical activities supporting the development of new and improved packaging, products, materials, processes, and technologies.
• Support both current product programs and next-generation development initiatives.
• Develop and execute packaging design, testing, and evaluation plans.
• Analyze technical, operational, and test data to establish or refine packaging and process specifications.
• Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
• Identify innovative solutions to packaging, material, product, and process challenges.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate project findings and results.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and other internal stakeholders.
• Support project planning, technical decision-making, and execution of major engineering activities.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams and internal customers.
• Mentor or support less-experienced engineers as needed.
• Maintain awareness of customer, clinical, business, and product requirements when developing technical solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable quality system and design-control requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
